28.10.09 BRAZIL CHACARA SAGRADO COE #5
Cupped at Stockfleths. Roasted by Solberg & Hansen.

Nose: Quite mellow fruit, with hints of nut, woody aromas.
Mouth: Medium low acidity, and low fruitiness. Nuts, a little milk chocolate, and vanilla in the finish. A sturdy and milk friendly Brazil, with good intensity. Going past crop. Not a coffee that jumps off the table, so to speak, but a high quality Brazil.

28.10.09 INDIA BADRA ESTATE

28.10.09 ETIOPIA YIRGACHEFFE KONGA COOPERATIVE
Cupped at Stockfleths. Roasted by Solberg & Hansen.

Nose: Very aromatic on the nose with aromas of bergamot, herbs and flowers.

23.10.09 EL SALVADOR CERRO LAS RANAS ESPRESSO
Cupped at Stockfleths. Roasted by Solberg & Hansen.

Wanted to try and replace the Bialetti Moka with an Aeropress. Fine espresso grind, 20 grams of coffee to 2 dl of water at 96º C. 15 sec steep, stirring all the way. Pressed full force.

Nose: Quite heavy smell, not very distinguishable attributes. Some sweetness.
Mouth: Same heavyness in the mouth, some very dark, dried fruit like burnt fig and date. Chocolate. Thick and creamy mouthfeel that goes dry and a little astringent and tannin-like in the end. The aftertaste is somewhat similar to Moka. Not a very pleasant way of brewing an otherwise great coffee.

22.10.09 NICARAGUA MAMA MINA
Cupped at Stockfleths. Roasted by Solberg & Hansen.

Washed Pacamara. Brewed on a French press.

Nose: Promising sniff, berries and yellow fruit. Floral hint.
Mouth: Delicate, fresh and sweet cup with nice clean fruit, and a really refreshing acidity in the aftertaste. Great when cold too, although a bit muddy from the french press.
